An interview with Lee Packham-Brown who runs the new Epiphany House Group.

You have just started a new Thursday house group called Epiphany.
Please tell us more about it!

Epiphany has started really well I think. We have a diverse group of people who challenge each other spiritually and support each other. It is really funny that 18 months ago I couldn’t even imagine myself joining a housegroup and now we are hosting one. House Group is not what most people imagine and would say that everyone should at least try it and see how they get on.

Your Christian faith has always been important to you but for a time you did not regularly attend church. Please briefly describe what led you back to Sunday Worship.

Debbie and I had been talking for a while about going back to Church. We were experiencing difficulties where we were living at the time. We were then asked to be God Parents to Charlotte and we felt it was an important part of the role to regularly attend Church. Looking back at it I feel it was God showing us the way.

If you could keep only one Christian CD of praise music which one
would it be and why?

It is hard to pick just one but if pushed it would have to be In Christ Alone by Mission Worship. It has so many of my favourite worship songs. Recently I found the music of Rhema Marvanne  on line, so perhaps this will be the next one I buy. She is 8 years old but with a fantastic voice.

There is debate as to whether practices in the business sector are
compatible with the core values of Christianity. We would like to hear
your views.

Business and Christian ethics can be seen to pull in opposite directions. I and other Christian businessmen do their best to operate according to simple Christian values. Honesty and personal integrity and the way we interrelate with each other at work say a lot about our humanity.  We as Christians should be examples in leading the way of good ethics in the workplace.

Outside of church, what are your hobbies and interests?

Family life takes up a lot of my time but I enjoy watching Motor Sports and I am a member of a local Round Table group. I am also a qualified referee. Plus of course there is the Sunday night pub quiz.

Thank you Lee!
